I'm a student at the University of Chicago, double-majoring in Anthropology and Music with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. I speak English, Chinese, and Japanese, and I'm working on my French!
Bridging Asian music markets with the Western entertainment industry. I focus on bringing Asian artists — Japanese and Mandarin-language especially — into Western entertainment markets. I care about how communities form around music and celebrity across cultures, and how the internet keeps reshaping both.
Consulting for ZICCA Inc. on social campaigns for Ichika Nito and Mateus Asato. Running MBO, UChicago's first music business student organization. Booking travel for friends through Fora. Writing a thesis on Chinese online fan communities of Japanese celebrities.
